GUINDULUNGAN, Maguindanao del Sur — Youth For Peace Movement (YFPM) PUKAW, together with the 2nd Mechanized Battalion collaborated in conducting a Youth Lecture with the theme, “Motivate. Educate. Advocate.” on September 11, at the Municipal Training Center here.
The said event was anchored on the plan to conduct a cluster-wide Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) in the Area of Responsibility of the said Armor unit, which aims to deliver lectures on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE), Conflict Resolution, Roles of the Youth in the Anti-Drug Campaign, and Orientation about the new youth program plans in the municipality.
Select municipal Sanggunian Kabataan (SK) officials and Civil-Society Organization (CSO) members participated in the activity.
“This milestone that we do today manifests the next path that we will take on. I believe this is just the beginning of a more inclusive program for the Youth in the area of responsibilities of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion," YFPM PUKAW, Inc. President, Joharie Kabugatan said.
"PUKAW would not have achieved what we have now if not of this Armor unit. They have played a big part in our development,” he added.
Kabugatan also emphasized that #NgitingPUKAW is one of the manifestations in the organization's quest for youth development and empowerment.
The said Youth Lecture was one of the components of the Community Support Program (CSP) of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion, which aims to provide revelant services, disseminate information, and provide training to various sectors among communities that are in need of government's support.
