MACO, Davao de Oro — Gearing up for another year of peace advocacy, the officers and provincial chapter representatives of Youth for Peace Movement TALBOS–Region XI (YFPMT–XI) convened for their first Regional Assembly on December 29–30, 2023, at the 1001st Infantry (Pag-asa) Brigade.
Presided by YFPMT–XI President Bernadette Festin, the two-day assembly aimed to discuss important updates from provincial chapters, review the constitution and by-laws, and craft plans for 2024.
Anchored on its mission to attain peace through youth empowerment, the assembly resolved to adopt a regional strategic plan based on six main criteria: plan accomplishment, stakeholder linkage, financial capability, human resources, organizational transparency, and administrative requirements.
Present in the assembly were former YFPMT president Evadyne May dela Cerna, former YFPMT secretary Bren Cabatingan, and 1001st Infantry (Pag-asa) Brigade Commander BGen Felix Ronnie Babac.
In his message, BGen Babac welcomed the participants and expressed his full support for the plans of the organization.
