NORTH COTABATO —As a response to the mandate of the Youth for Peace and Development Movement Philippines' (YFPDMP) new Consitution and By-Laws (CBL), the Youth for Peace Movement (YFPM) Cotabato attends the Regional Senior Leaders Meeting last July 16-17, 2022 at 38th Infantry ‘We Clear’ Battalion, Maasim, Saranggani. The YFPM Cotabato Secretary, Ian S. Juntarciego, and Provincial Adviser, Judy O. Selloriquez were the representatives of the said meeting. Such a meeting is in preparation for the federation of YFPM provincial chapters in Region 12 and establishing a regional chapter as an action per Article 15: Territorial Divisions, Section 8 of the new CBL. Section 8 of Article 15 states “The scope of each Local Chapter from the Regional to Local 4 shall be based on the political boundaries of the local government where the said Chapters originally belong.” Additionally, the attendees agreed and proposed a Regional Youth Leaders Congress as a federating activity that will highlight the official establishment of the regional chapter and its necessities. Jayron Romanillos, YFPDMP Organizational Development Chair, attended the meeting and acted as the presiding officer. Also, Romanillos relayed national updates especially on the matters of YFPDMP Affiliation System or YAS, concomitantly, he accommodated local chapters’ updates and concerns. The Youth For Peace Movement (YFPM) Cotabato expresses its deepest gratitude to the 1002nd ‘Bagwis’ Brigade for their untiring support, and to 38th Infantry ‘We Clear’ Battalion for their homely accommodation.
