DAVAO CITY - National Officers of the Youth for Peace and Development Movement (YFPDMP), Inc. held their 1st Virtual Conference on February 26, 2020 (Friday) to discuss past and present plans, policies, and programs of the organization in the national set-up.
The meeting highlights the presentation of YFPDMP's National Plan entitled "2021 Campaign Plan 'Pakiglambigit,' which was unanimously approved by the National Council.
The 2021 Campaign Plan was the first strategic plan crafted by the YFP National Council, which aims to align all peace efforts of the Youth for Peace from the national to local levels.
It is also geared towards improving the status and performance of YFPDMP's local chapters and support the government in attaining peace by upholding the "culture of collaboration."
In his message, President Micutuan emphasized the role of the National Council to help the local YFP chapters perform well in their peace-building efforts.
"In this challenging time, we need to push ourselves to intertwine our plans for the common goal of our advocacy. Let us help and empower each other. May our local chapters consider this Campaign Plan as a blueprint in making our organization, a credible organization," he said.
He also encouraged them to be hopeful that despite the continuing struggle faced by the YFP volunteers during the pandemic, they can still "contribute change to the peace and security situation in the country and empowerment of the Filipino youth, by continually collaborating with other members of society."
