FROM SOUTH TO NORTH: YFP Heads Visit NOLCOM

TARLAC CITY - The National Officers of the Youth for Peace and Development Movement Philippines (YFPDMP) ended their 3-day mission tour all-over Luzon with a visit at the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) on January 26, 2019, at Camp General Servillano Aquino, Brgy. San Miguel here.


After visiting the Southern Luzon Command, the youth leaders proceeded to the heart of Luzon to pay a courtesy call at NOLCOM. They were also accompanied by Mr. Clark Ernie A Gallema, Representative of the Youth for Peace in Northern Luzon Area, and Mr. Marion Tombaga, Coordinator of the Cordillera Youth Brigade.


During the call, the YFPDMP Officers were able to present the accomplishments of their local chapters in 2019, including the application Four Thematic Advocacies.


In turn, the NOLCOM Officers expressed their positivity and appreciation for the YFPDMP Officers for paying courtesy calls with their partners as it will gear-up towards unifying all the YFP chapters.


They also gave inputs and advised to look for sustainable endeavors and projects that can be funded by International or National Agencies, and build a strong partnership with Sangguniang Kabataan.


Meanwhile, the military officers pledged to help address the issues and concerns of the organization in their area and assured that they will support in unifying the different subchapters by organizing an Area-wide gathering of their YFP volunteers.
